I am a
guy with big dreams. Young, aggressive and passion in whatever I am doing. I
have a pair of artistic ear and eye which love to see beautiful things and
listen to beautiful music.
I am
currently the Regional Manager, KLHO of Generali Insurans Malaysia Berhad.
I have more than 20 years of working experience in the insurance industry in aspects of
underwriting, claims, risk management and survey, technical operations, branch
operations, corporate business, agency business, financial institution and
technical training. As for geographical area, I oversee Melaka, Negri Sembilan, Johor, Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.
I
graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Honours) in International Business
Administration from University of Northumbria at Newcastle, United Kingdom.
I have completed the following professional qualification. AQF Diploma of General Insurance from The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance in 2019. Diploma and Certificate of Insurance from The Malaysian Insurance Institute in 2009. And, Award in General Insurance from Chartered Institute of Insurance UK.
Professional
membership demonstrates ongoing commitment in my career. I obtained the Fellow membership and Certified Insurance Professional from The Australian
and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance. I am also the member The Malaysian Insurance Institute, Malaysia Institute of
Management and The Institute of Marketing Malaysia.
I am the
first from insurance industry to be the Finalist for MIM-Public Bank “Manager Of the Year” Award 2011. On
2013, I have achieved another big milestone, where I represent Malaysia to
participant the ASEAN Insurance Council’s “Young ASEAN Manager Award” and
finished as the top 3 finalist. On 2015, I was invited by the council to be
their Organising Committee for the 10th ASEAN Insurance Congress in
Phonm Penh, Cambodia
As part of
contribution to society, I served in various position in various nonprofit
organizations in the state and country level such as Lam Ann Association
Melaka, Federation of Lam Ann Association Malaysia, Hokkien Association Melaka,
Persatuan Keturunan Keluarga Tan See Guan Shang, Melaka, Malacca Tan Clan
Ancestral Temple and Malaysia Tan Clan Ancestral Temple.
In
recognition of my continuous efforts, dedications and contribution to the
insurance industry and social works. In the year 2010, I was honored Medal
Pingat Khidmat Cemerlang Masyarakat (PMC) from HRH Yang Dipertuan Besar of
Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir. In 2015, I was
recommended by the Chief Minister of Melaka to be conferred the Exalted Order
of Melaka – Darjah Seri Melaka (DSM) by the Head of State of Melaka TYT Yang
Di-Pertua Negeri of Melaka Tun Datuk Seri Utama Mohd Khalil bin Yaakob. In January
20017, I was conferred the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) which carries the title Dato' by His Royal
Highness, Sultan Ahmad Shah of Pahang.
